How Eilm handles personal data
Eilm is a multi-academy learning service. Each academy controls its learner and course operations; Eilm operates the platform and its security, delivery, and support systems.
Data we process
Account identity and contact details; academy membership; enrollments, lesson progress, assessment answers and scores; certificates; payment references and private receipts; messages, consent preferences, security/audit records, and measured intervention outcomes.
Why and on what basis
We process data to provide requested learning and academy services, secure accounts, fulfill contracts, operate legitimate reliability and fraud controls, and honor consent for optional channels such as WhatsApp. Academies must establish their own lawful basis and notices for uploaded learner data.
Service providers and location
The MVP uses Hostinger for the web application and email, and Supabase for authentication, database, and private storage. External video or meeting links are governed by their providers. We do not sell personal data and do not place advertising trackers in the MVP.
Retention and security
Tenant isolation, least-privilege access, private receipt storage, audit trails, encryption in transit, backups, and controlled exports protect data. Records are retained only for service, legal, dispute, and recovery needs. You can close your own account from your profile at any time without asking us: that removes your name, phone number and avatar, ends your access, and leaves enrolment, order and payment records with the academy they belong to, anonymised - those are that academy's record of a real transaction and are not ours alone to erase. Academy-wide deletion and export requests are handled through support.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile and notification preferences in the product. You may request access, correction, export, objection, restriction, or deletion where applicable. Some records may be retained when required for payment, security, legal claims, or certificate integrity.
Automated support
The MVP uses explainable rules to flag learning inactivity. No intervention is sent without the configured human gate; no automated rule makes a grade, refund, access sanction, or accreditation decision. Staff can inspect the evidence and record the observed outcome.
