How to price your first course

مازن الشريف

The first mistake in pricing is looking at competitors. You do not know their costs, their student numbers, or whether they are making money at all, so you copy a number that means nothing.

Start somewhere else: what does it cost the learner not to have this skill? Wasted time, a promotion that did not come, a client they lost. Then ask what avoiding that is worth. The price comes out of that distance.

For a first course, price it slightly below what it is worth and ask one thing in return: that the learner tells you honestly where they stopped and what they did not understand. That is worth more than the difference.
